Brookwood Construction delivered the tenant fit-out of the Local Start Dental Clinic, located at 370 Jackson Street, Durham, NC, to support the organization’s mission of providing affordable, high-quality dental care and hands-on training for dental professionals. The project transformed a 4,728 sq. ft. space into a fully functional clinical and teaching environment designed to serve underserved populations in the community. The interior build-out included multiple denture procedure rooms, X-ray and imaging areas, a lab, a dispensary, offices, a training room, and patient support spaces, with specialized integration of medical gas, dental vacuum, and air compressor systems. MEP systems, fire alarm and life safety components, advanced cabinetry and millwork, and durable, cleanable finishes were installed to meet both clinical and educational needs. The completed facility enables Local Start Dental to provide state-of-the-art care while advancing dental education in the Triangle region.
